Supreme court dismisses Sheriff’s application

Supreme Court this morning dismissed the application filed by the controversial PDP president, Ali Modu Sheriff seeking to stop the hearing of an appeal filed by sector leader, Ahmed Makarfi, in the Supreme Court.

Makarfi had filed an appeal in the Supreme Court after a Court of Appeal in Port Harcourt affirmed Sheriff as much of the leadership of the party and drove it holds committee members.
Makarfi in the appeal asked the Supreme Court to save the Court of Appeal, and be the leader of PDP. Makarfi's appeal is to be heard on Thursday, May 25th
